# Updates

When a new update is available, Alpha Desktop will ask if you prefer to install the new version right away (it takes only few seconds) or if you prefer to be reminded later (24 hours later).

Also, be aware that sometimes it might happen that Alpha Desktop force the update when the newer version has a breaking change.
